WHAT A WINERY "SHOULD" LOOK LIKE
June 2009

Cascade Golfer - Chipping and Sipping Along the Cascade Golfer Wine Trail                                                                                             by Brian Beaky CG Editor. Northwest Golf News & Views

"Driving up the vineyard-covered hills to the Tuscan-style villa overlooking the lake and mountains below, you'll find yourself humming the violin strains that accompanied Michael Corleone's visit to the family's Sicilian estate in "The Godfather." Suffice to say, Tsillan Cellars probably matches the classic idea of what a winery "should" look like more than any other property in the state."

TSILLAN CELLARS FEATURED IN THREE RECENT WINE BOOKS
May 28, 2008

Pacific Northwest - The Ultimate Winery Guide for Oregon, Washington & British Columbia
by Christina Melander. Photography by Janis Miglavs. Published by Chronicle Books, San Francisco

— Tsillan Cellars was one of only 10 Washington wineries out of 550 in Washington State to be featured in the Ultimate Winery Guide. A quote from the book, "Boasting a terrific view of the lake, the grounds are equally attractive. An intericate water feature forms the focal point of the slate patio and cleverly includes an islandlike stage for summer concerts. Jankelson plotted a grand, amenity-rich destination winery to jumpstart agritourism in Chelan, and now Tsillan Cellars sees about five hundred visitors daily during the summer."

Special Places - The Great Wineries of Washington
by Fred & Mardi Nystrom. Published by Discover Books, LLC in Issaquah, WA

— Tsillan Cellars is again featured in a book that includes Washington's 50 outstanding wineries. The author is quoted, "Owner Bob's passion for excellence is reflected in superb details in the winery, from flavorful wines to an exquisite tasting room to the rose bushes planted at the end of every row of vines. The winery is approachable yet still impressive, similar in personality to the wines served there."

Wine Trails of Washington
by Steve Roberts. Published by South Slope Productions in Mercer Island, WA

— This comprehensive guide is a must-read for Washington Wine enthusiasts. Steve Roberts approaches wine and wine tourism free of pretense or prejudgement. Tsillan Cellars is rated in the top 10 wineries in the State of Washington for dining, winery views, favorite place to picnic, gift shop and restaurant. Roberts has this to say about Tsillan Cellars, "Tsillan Cellars is the crown jewel of a growing number of young wineries that have popped up in the Chelan-Manson area in recent years. With spectacular views of Lake Chelan as well as the scenic mountains in the distance, there is little doubt that Tsillan (pronounced "Chelan") Cellars is the destination winery on this area's WineTrail."
