When Bob Jankelson, owner of Tsillan Cellars Winery,
purchased 130 acres of prime south shore orchards between 2000 and 2003
stewardship of Chelan’s agricultural legacy and stimulation of Chelan’s economy
was the foundation of his commitment to community. The intervening years saw
his dream of a world class destination estate winery come to fruition.
Blessed with a new Lake Chelan AVA, estate vineyards
growing world class wine grapes, the excitement of Sorrentos Ristorante and a
20 percent increase in wine tourism this year Tsillan Cellars has much to be
grateful for. However, remembering that these are difficult times for many
Chelan residents, Dr. Jankelson and Tsillan Cellars is committed to remembering
the less fortunate. Each month Tsillan Cellars is contributing $1.00 to a
chosen Chelan Charity for every bottle of estate grown white wine sold at
Tsillan Cellars during that month. A new charity is selected every month.
The Chelan
Valley Food Bank was Tsillan Cellars July Charity of the Month. Tsillan
Cellars will present a check for $2500 to the Director of the Food Bank.
Chelan Valley Hope has been
selected as the organization that will receive the August benefit for every
bottle of estate white wine sold at Tsillan Cellars. Chelan
Valley Hope is a combination of faith-based and secular community
organizations formed for charitable and educational purposes. Chelan Hope
offers referral services, promotes accessing service and resources for
underserved and vulnerable residents in the
