Should the fare be somewhat simpler, a handsome smoked chicken breast sandwich on sourdough bread complete with ripe tomatoes, greens, shaved onions and mayo will do the trick. The ever-famous blend from our estate, the 2016 Bellissima Rossa opens on the nose with aromas of dried cranberry and raspberry, with undertones of cocoa and rosemary. Its smooth profile on the palate provides elegant flavors of dark chocolate covered fruits, Bing cherry, and subtle tones of earth that lead beautifully into its lingering finish. The complex attributes and medium body structure of this wine make it very versatile in the realm of equally complex food pairings. From braised lamb, shepherds pie, to herb seasoned roasted root vegetables. Serve now till 2028 with proper aging.

The 2016 Barbera is an elegant wine possessing a lovely deep red color. Dried black cherries and currants couple with rose petal and light toasty oak nuances to complete the flavor – aroma profile. A slight earthy note shows itself on the nose which adds a touch more complexity to this fine wine. The acid – tannin presentation is firm yet civil which makes for an excellent wine when paired with food. A good seven to nine years of cellar potential exists should one store this wine properly. 398 cases produced.
This take on the classic Rhone varietal brings fourth a multifaceted nature known so well with Syrah. Expressive aromas of caramel, blackberry, and vanilla immediately envelope the nose, showcasing the expressive character of the new American oak integrated into the blend. On the palate warm, robust flavors of boysenberry, dark cherry, and plums round the mouthfeel that leads beautifully into a lingering finish of berry cobbler and spice.
