Deep ruby in color, edging towards purple. Inviting aromas of dark plums, black currants, caramel, coffee and black pepper. On the palate are flavors of cocoa and dried cherries. This full-bodied wine is balanced with moderate acidity and moderate-plus tannin. Pair with New York steak, braised lamb, Portabella mushrooms and aged Gouda.

This take on the classic Rhone varietal brings fourth a multifaceted nature known so well with Syrah. Expressive aromas of caramel, blackberry, and vanilla immediately envelope the nose, showcasing the expressive character of the new American oak integrated into the blend. On the palate warm, robust flavors of boysenberry, dark cherry, and plums round the mouthfeel that leads beautifully into a lingering finish of berry cobbler and spice.
