2017 PORZIONE DI ANGELI, Estate – Late Harvest Dessert Wine

The 2016 Barbera is an elegant wine possessing a lovely deep red color.  Dried black cherries and currants couple with rose petal and light toasty oak nuances to complete the flavor – aroma profile.  A slight earthy note shows itself on the nose which adds a touch more complexity to this fine wine.  The acid – tannin presentation is firm yet civil which makes for an excellent wine when paired with food.  A good seven to nine years of cellar potential exists should one store this wine properly. 398 cases produced.
